We partner with parents to give our children a spiritual foundation in God’s love by being the faithful presence of Jesus among them. We strive to demonstrate who God is by words and actions both in the classroom and in our homes to create a multigenerational community rooted in Christ.
We need help!
We are currently bursting at the seams and need more dedicated, servant-minded volunteers to help lead the amazing kids in our ministry. Volunteers serve only 1 Sunday a month and arrive in the classroom to serve after Worship (elementary classes only) or at 10am (nursery-preschool classes). If you’d like to help out please fill out the background check form below and we will be in touch to get you on the schedule.

Nursery
We care for children from birth to two years old in our nursery. We follow First Look curriculum, which is designed lovingly and expertly for babies to incite wonder about their Creator. Our nursery team is passionate about caring for babies and early walkers to ensure that they know THREE truths before they graduate into our preschool ministry:
God made me
God loves me
Jesus wants to be my friend forever
-
Preschool
The preschool curriculum we follow is called The Biggest Story. The Biggest Story leads readers on an exciting journey through the Bible, from the garden of Eden to the return of Christ. This fun curriculum based on the book draws kids into Scripture and helps them grasp its overarching message of redemption. For more information visit thebiggeststory.com

Wellness Policy
At Watermark, the safety and well-being of your children are our top priorities. We are committed to creating a nurturing and secure environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive in their faith. This wellness policy outlines the steps we take to ensure the health and safety of all children in our care.
Health and Safety Protocols
- Parents are asked to not bring a child if he/she is exhibiting symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, runny nose, or gastrointestinal issues until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours without medication. If your child has any infectious diseases such as HFM, croup, the flu, etc, please do not bring them to Wee Watermark.
Hygiene Practices
- Hand sanitizing stations are available in the hallways and classrooms.
- Children and volunteers are encouraged to wash their hands frequently, especially before snacks and after using the restroom.
- Hand sanitizer will be used under adult supervision.
Cleaning and Disinfection
- High-touch surfaces and shared items are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
- Toys and materials are sanitized regularly to prevent the spread of germs.
Safety and Security Measures
Check-In and Check-Out Procedures
- A secure check-in/check-out system is in place to ensure only authorized individuals can pick up children.
- Parents/guardians must sign in their children and provide contact information in case of emergency.
Volunteer Screening and Training
- All volunteers undergo background checks and are educated on our child safety and wellness protocols.
Emergency Procedures
- An emergency response plan is established, with emergency evacuation maps posted in each classroom.
- First aid kits are readily accessible, and several church members are certified in CPR and first aid. A safety team volunteer certified in CPR and first aid is on call if needed each Sunday.
Nutrition and Allergies
Healthy Snacks
- We provide gold fish and water to the kids during snack time. The babies are offered infant puffs.
- Parents/guardians are encouraged to inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies their child may have. If your child needs a special snack, please send it in with them when checking in.
Allergy Awareness
- Allergies are listed on the name tags each child receives at check-in.
Mental and Emotional Well-Being
Positive Environment
- We strive to create an inclusive and positive environment where all children feel valued and supported.
- Our programs incorporate activities that promote kindness, empathy, and teamwork.
Parental Involvement and Communication
Open Communication
- We maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians to address any concerns or questions.
- Regular updates on Wee Watermark activities can be found on our website or Facebook page, as well as signage around the building and monthly e-mails to church members.
Feedback and Suggestions
- Parents/guardians are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions to help us continually improve our wellness policy and programs.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in maintaining a healthy and safe kid’s ministry!
This wellness policy ensures that all aspects of our children’s well-being are addressed, from physical health to emotional support, creating a holistic approach to child care within Wee Watermark.
